Vincent Gaillard is a Marketing and Sustainability expert specialised in Global Events and Corporate Sustainability Management. He has worked in the strategic planning and operational delivery of Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup projects for The Coca-Cola Company since 1998. Recently, he led the planning and implementation of a ground-breaking 'Green Games' platform at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, which was awarded the first "Green Medal" by the non-governmental organisation Greenpeace. He is currently steering an ambitious Sustainability effort at the London 2012 Olympics which is set to become the most far-reaching activation for Coca-Cola to date. In particular, the focus of his current work is, going beyond the classic approach to sustainability, understanding what triggersbehaviour changes and implementing brand-led initiatives focused on engaging customers and consumers in global Sustainability initiatives, leveraging the collective 'Brand Power' of the Olympics and Coca-Cola.
In parallel to his work, Vincent collaborates on a variety of related sustainability projects and is currently completing a Master's of Science in Corporate Environmental Management at the Centre for Environmental Strategy of the University of Surrey. He lives in London with his wife and two children, has a dual French / Swiss citizenship and a permanent base in Geneva, Switzerland.
